The e-fair is relevant to a wide range of roles including teaching and learning, management, staff development, learning resources, technical IT and business support. We've put together a short film of the 2010 e-fair. It's only 5 minutes 30 seconds long, but it gives a flavour of what went on during the day. If you were there, then this should refresh your memories of the day. If you weren't able to be there, it will give you an insight in to what was available and, hopefully, inspire you to be there for the next one in 2011.
The prize draw was a chance to celebrate the e-learning progress in the East Midlands region that has taken place within the last year and was made at the end of the RSC East Midlands e-fair.
A total of 49 entries were received giving information about something that people were proud to have been involved with or something that they’d done that would be of interest to others.
The winners of the prizes were selected at random:
an iPod Nano (sponsored by Proquest) - Julie Oswald (South Leicestershire College)
a Vado USB Camcorder – Grace Clark (ISIS Training)
a 320GB portable hard drive – Adel Gordon (University of Northampton)
Thank you to all of you who took time to let us know what you’ve been doing. Full details are available in the Word Document below.
This year we used Twitter for instantaneous feedback from yourselves about the event. We had over 80 responses from 21 people.
Twitter is a great tool to communicate with your learners. It can be used as a noticeboard for course information and students can post questions or provide valuable feedback. You can even use Twitter as an alternative to voting pads (Powerpoint Twitter tools). Below are links to some useful resources.
