Celebration of e-learning homepage

In the summer of 2009, in connection with the RSC e-fair, we asked you to join with us in celebrating the different work being done in the region that uses technology to improve learning and teaching. In response many of you sent in entries to a prize draw telling us what you had been doing.

There was a wide range of activity happening in the region covering topics such as virtual learning environments, e-assessment, accessibility, technical matters, and staff development.

Some of the achievements were on an organisation-wide level, whilst others were down to one person's initiative in their classroom.

We've tried to put everything you told us into a few simple categories, but recommend a general browse as there are lots of good ideas in there. If you’d like to find out more about any of the activities described, contact us at support@rsc-em.ac.uk or 01509 618110.

Prize draw winners

At the 2009 e-fair we had a random prize draw for all entries received.

Roger Laurenti from Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College received the Touchscreen MP3 player, Joanne Shirley from New College Nottingham the Digital Dictaphone, and Lucy Stone from Leicester College took away the USB Camcorder.

To see how these bits of equipment can be used for educational purposes, take a look at the following presentation:
